Step 1: Pattern Transfer

Turn here in the “Templates” section and transfer the pattern onto the glass. It’s pretty straightforward for this project—you just need two identical circles.

Step 2: Cutting the Glass

Use your scoring tool to score and break the glass according to the pattern. If you haven’t cut a circle yet, read back through Step 2 here in our Five-Petaled Wildflower project.

Step 3: Grinding the Glass

Because you are going to be placing your two circles on top of each other, you will want them to line up perfectly. You will also want them to be as close to a perfect circle as possible since it will be a standalone piece and an imperfect circle will be pretty obvious.

Once you’ve finished grinding your two circles, place them together and mark any spots that don’t line up. Go back to the grinder and fix any imperfections. Repeat this process until you have two identical circles.
